PhD STUDENT
Leah joined the Trang lab as a PhD student in September of 2025. She completed her honours BHSc in biomedical science at the University of Calgary, during which she worked in the Teskey lab studying epilepsy and phytocannabinoids. She continued working in the Teskey lab through her Master's, studying the effect of seizures and brain oxygen on nociceptive perception, and defended her thesis in May 2025. Her research in the Trang lab focuses on treatments for opioid withdrawal. In her free time, she likes to read, crochet, and play field hockey.
