Tuan is a Professor at the University of Calgary and an Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs and Development in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. He is a member of the Cumming School of Medicine, the Hotchkiss Brain Institute, and Alberta Children’s Hospital Research Institute. He completed a PhD in pharmacology at Queen’s University and a fellowship at SickKids Hospital. He and his team are committed to unlocking the causes of chronic pain. They are working to advance fundamental discoveries into effective pain therapies. Away from the lab, he is a chauffeur for his kids and enjoys martial arts and basketball. He also enjoys “playing” guitar, video games, painting with his kids, and wrestling with his crazy dog, a German Shepherd mix.
